The Keratinized Gingiva Grafting Kit is designed for soft tissue augmentation using ring-shaped keratinized tissue grafts (kTG).
It features a dual-punch system with two concentric circular drills—4 mm inner diameter and 7 mm outer diameter—that create parallel incisions to precisely harvest ring-shaped grafts.
This tool enhances peri-implant soft tissue conditions and is ideal for procedures requiring high-precision gingival tissue collection.
Tissue Harvesting
Begin by identifying a suitable donor site—typically the maxillary tuberosity—for harvesting keratinized gingiva. This area provides thick, high-quality tissue ideal for soft tissue augmentation around dental implants.
Puncher Positioning
Carefully position the dual-ring puncher perpendicular to the surface of the soft tissue. Maintain a minimum distance of 1 mm from any adjacent teeth or anatomical structures to avoid damage and ensure precision.
Drilling Technique
Set the motor to a low-speed setting of 50 RPM. Do not use irrigation during this step. Gently advance the puncher through the keratinized tissue until it contacts the underlying bone. The device is engineered to create two concentric incisions simultaneously—inner diameter 4 mm, outer diameter 7 mm—facilitating the extraction of a consistent ring-shaped graft.
Tissue Graft Retrieval
Once the incisions are complete, carefully retrieve the keratinized tissue ring. The unique shape of the graft allows it to be easily adapted to the recipient site, providing excellent stability and promoting healthy peri-implant soft tissue formation.
Implant Integration
After graft placement, secure the site by installing the appropriate healing abutment to the dental implant. This helps stabilize the soft tissue and supports optimal healing.
Completion
The procedure is now complete. Post-operative care should follow standard implant surgery protocols, ensuring the graft integrates well and maintains keratinized tissue volume over time.
